Bask Bear was officially launched in October 2019 at 1Utama, Petaling Jaya, it is one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing, 本土咖啡和吐司連鎖店 homegrown coffee and toastie chains. Founded by Malaysian entrepreneur Bryan Loo, the same creator of the bubble tea brand Tealive! According to an interview Article "The name and concept are inspired by the Malayan Sun Bear, symbolizing a distinctly local identity that strives to bring diversity to the community".
Their coffee is brewed with 100% 阿拉比卡咖啡豆 Arabica beans and features 婆羅洲棕櫚糖 Bornean Aren palm sugar (一種天然健康的糖替代品 a natural, healthier alternative to traditional sugar). Aside from beverages, they are known for their 清真認證 Halal-certified 韓式烤吐司 Korean-style toasties. Bask Bear Coffee’s absolute best-sellers are their 起司脆皮雞排烤吐司 Cheezy Crispy Chicken Katsu Toastie and the BB經典牛肉/雞肉漢堡 BB Classic Beef/Chicken Burger.
Bask Bear has broken the traditional cafe mold by opening integrated community cafes in partnership with banks like AmBank 銀行合作開設了綜合社區咖啡館 and running nationwide campaigns with 馬來西亞旅遊局合作 Tourism Malaysia. The Cafe operates over 200 outlets across Malaysia. This includes roughly 125+ physical stores (such as their popular standalone and "銀行咖啡館 Cafe-in-a-Bank" locations) alongside over 120 virtual, delivery-only kitchens. Unfortunately there isn't any Bask Bear in-any-Bank near by, and nearest to Subang Jaya is one at Am Bank PJ new Town!
