Li was born in 1928 to Teochew parents in China before World War II, today's Teowchew style noodle is probably an inspiration that Li was also Teochew but perhaps no more than that. The giant bowl comes with sour preserve vegetables to create that sour soup based with cabbage plus 豬腸 Pork intestine, 豬血塊 Pork blood cubes, 豬肉丸 Pork ball, 豬肉薄片 thin Pork slices, 豬肉碎 Minced Pork, 豬肝 Pork liver, and topped with 脆皮豬油 Crackly pork lards.
