According to the Pakcik, another KOMO Café will be opening soon somewhere in Segambut likely early next year.
The Café in TTDI opens as early as 8am with Indoor air-conditioning in a cozy semi-circled enclosed layout that comes with 9 tables of 1-2ppl/table. Outdoor Fanned seating area overlooking the TTDI Library, Tennis Court and Parking Lot comes with tables of 2-4ppl/table.
The Café offers everything Malaysian except for Latte and Cappuccino. Signature dishes are their Wantan Mee and Curry Noodles. The "Special set" Curry Noodle comes with tender but interesting "sweet" and almost boneless Hainanese Chicken on the side. The Curry is a fairly thick broth, oily, spicy and coconutty flavored, with a choice of 黃麵 yellow noodle or 雲吞麵 Wantan Mee. In the bowl are 豆腐卜Tofu pok, 長豆 Long beans, 魚蛋 Fish ball, 魚餅 Fish cake (but cannot find any 鳥蛤 cockles and 芽菜 bean sprouts as advertised in the menu). Regardless, it is a flavorful, tasty, and filing bowl of Curry Noodle. Besides the Curry Noodle and Wantan Mee, KOMO Cafe also offers 椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak, 吉打叻沙 Laksa Kedah, 哥羅麵 Kolo Mee, 蝦麵 Prawn Mee, 燒麵包 Toast, and 三明治 Sandwiches as well as a variety of hot and cold beverages.
Today's breakfast here at 9am was meant to check-out if the TTDI Community Library if it is opened since the CMCO is partially lifted, and the Library is just next to the Café but still closed for now. The TTDI Community Centre is nestled deep inside TTDI residential area and surrounded with lush greeneries. Besides the Café and the TTDI Community Library (Pustaka KL @ TTDI) which was closed for renovation for a few years and reopened only in 2019 but of course now closed again due to the MCO; there is also a Tennis Court, and I believe the TTDI Community Center's main building is for all-day Badminton sessions unless the Hall is rented out for Events or Weddings. Not forgetting as well there is also an Indoor Futsal Court. And Next to the Community Centre is also a residential park with proper pavements for walking and jogging for TTDI residents.
TTDI Community Centre comes with ample FREE Parking, and affordable local food starts at rm$5 for a Basic Nasi Lemak to rm$13.50 with many items in the menu at rm$8/$9, quiet and cozy little Café. With Free Parking here, looking forward to the reopening of the Library which provides Free Wifi and Free Entrance, and hopefully a good alternative working location for a good days work with a digital device inside the library.
