Thoughts: Relocated to USJ1's 新海景餐館 Restoran Hou Hou Wan, here is a good spot for some good old Char Koay with black coffee, opened on July 1, 2+months ago and I believe "開心鬼鬼 Happy Go Lucky" also has a new stall in USJ1's FACTORY FOOD COURT (not far from Hou Hou Wan Kopitiam which opened in August). For several years now, "Happy Go Lucky" has been busy delivering Char Koay to several Bak Kut Teh restaurants around town. The stall offers 油條 Char Koay (You Tiao), 夾粽 Pulut Bun, 馬腳 Butterfly, 咸煎餅 Ham Chin Peng, and I think 豆沙咸煎餅 Red Bean Paste Ham Chin Peng; all at rm$1.20 per piece.
While most Char Koay stalls are usually seen as make-shift road side stall, this one rents a space inside the USJ1 Kopitiam. So, dining inside the kopitiam with a Char Koay and Black Coffee "Kopi O" isn't a problem. The Char Koay, fried just nice with golden brown texture; of course oily but not overly oily and definitely great dipping with the Kopi O (like the good old days). The slightly sinful combination of Kopi O with Char Koay is likely a unique Chinese Malaysian breakfast thing, something quite commonly seen in old style Chinese Kopitiams as far back as I can remember in the 60s and 70s.
