Telephone: Makan here about 1 year ago at Geylang, Singapore. There is also one at SS2 PJ (+60 3 7874 1233). Their frog porridge is said to be one of the best (if not the best) in town. The restaurant is packed even on the week days night! Another favorites to order is the oyster omelette and "kam heong lala" which comes with "big" osysters and "big" lala. The restaurant also allows you to order the "also popular" beef horfun from its next door neighbouring restaurant (Lor 9 Beef Keow Teow).
Singapore serves frog porridge in 2 ways; one method of serving is where the frog is boiled in the porridge and served together. Another one where Geylang 9 Lor offers is where the frog is cooked in a somewhat dense soy sauce, flavored with dry chilies (of your choice of hotter of lighter) with ginger as well. The concoction is salty, sweet, and hot at the same time, tasty!
