Thoughts: The reputable 海底捞 Haidilao Hot Pot destination translates literally to "scooping from the bottom of the sea," a Chinese phrase 寓意著發現隱藏的寶藏 implying the discovery of hidden treasures. Originating from a 四川麻將 Sichuan mahjong term for 最後一張牌獲勝的術語 winning with the last tile, 象徵著好運 it symbolizes good fortune, 優質食材 high-quality ingredients, and a 高端卓越的用餐體驗 premium, exceptional dining experience.

海底捞 Haidilao was founded in March 1994 in 簡陽市 Jianyang, 四川省 Sichuan Province, 中國 China, by Zhang Yong and three other partners. Originally a 四張桌子的小店 small shop with four tables, it grew into a global 川味火鍋 Sichuan-style hot pot. And according to recent statistics, the China F&B Giant has at least 1,300 locations in China but 海底捞 Haidilao is still not the largest restaurant seat capacity in China! Haidilao officially came to Malaysia in March 2019, opening its first outlet at 雙威金字塔購物中心 Sunway Pyramid in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. There are at least current 15 locations in Malaysia.
