Thoughts: 田棒棒火鍋  "Tian Bang Bang Hotpot" is an 重慶老火鍋 old Chongqing hotpot restaurant in 戴家巷 Daijia Lane near 洪崕洞 "Hong Ya Dong" (the famous tourist spot in Chongqing). Because it is a residential building, it does feels like eating hotpot at home. 

The choice of the base soup can be 鴛鴦鍋 Yuanyang pot or Red soup that can be in 3 spicy level (all at Y$38 (rm$23) per pot); AND even the 微辣 lowest spicy level comes with an 都全是辣椒 almost full pot of red chili. The dishes are all quite large portions with a variety of meats of either beef, pork, chicken, duck, seafood plus a good choice of vegetables as well. The style of hot pot is called 九宮格麻辣鍋 "Nine-grid Spicy Mala Hotpot" which is the most authentic Chongqing hotpot where all Chongqing locals preferred choice. Each ingredients can be placed in each grid so that they are not mixed together and friends eating together can also then put their preferred items in their own grid! 

重慶火鍋的起源 the origin of Chongqing hot pot can be traced back to the 明末 late Ming (1368-1644) and 清初 early Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. It was a popular dining style at that time among port workers at the 朝天門港 Chaotianmen Port on the 長江支流 Jialing River, a tributary of the 嘉陵江 Yangtze River. 重慶火鍋 Chongqing hot pot is not only a local delicacy, but also represents 重慶的飲食文化 Chongqing's food culture. When eating the hot pot, families and friends gather together and surround the steaming hot pot, talking with each other. It is a suitable food choice for the traditional Chinese culture of reunion.
