Thoughts: 1st visit to USJ10's Big Daddy's was 20.11.2018 for a rm$14.80 "德式炸猪肉排 German Style Pork Schnitzel" and the last visit (or 11th visit) was 28.11.2020 for a rm$16.80 "煙熏培根比薩 Big Daddy's Smoked Bacon Pizza".

Today is the 12th visit to Big Daddy's (almost 2.5 years since the last visit), and dinner was a rm$17.50 "索爾茲伯里牛排 Salisbury Steak" with a slightly charred Salisbury Steak with fries and coleslaw on the side. The SAME meal at Big Daddy's on 13.01.2019 was rm$8 (albeit without the coleslaw!).    

Around the 18th century, the people of Hamburg developed a dish of minced meat that was molded into the shape of a steak and then grilled and served with gravy, which became known as "漢堡牛排 Hamburg steak", and 德國移民 German immigrants brought the dish with them to other countries, including America. The "索爾茲伯里牛排 Salisbury Steak" is a version of Hamburg steak. Early version of the "Hamburg steak" was created to fit the taste of the European immigrants. 

"索爾茲伯里牛排 Salisbury steak" is said to be the invention of a Dr James H. Salisbury (1823–1905), an American physician and chemist known for his advocacy of a meat-centered diet to promote health, and the term Salisbury steak for a ground beef patty served as the main course has been used in the United States since 1897. The story however, began about soldiers in the 美國內戰 American Civil War who were traditionally provided with "士兵餅乾 Soldier biscuits" which were dried, and which contained some fortified vegetable and fruits, but the high yeast content and the low protein content of the biscuits began to create Digestive problems for the troops. It is Dr. James that proposed the "Salisbury steak" recipe as a protein diet (a real diet for soldiers) to combat that illness 消化問題 Digestive problems among Civil War troops!

Today, the "Salisbury Steak" can still be found in the 冷凍食品部 Frozen food section in most Supermarkets in the United States, and the American comfort food is often referred to as a TV dinner because it is easily prepared. In fact, many Public schools still offer the food item as a Lunch meal to American students.
