Thoughts: While everyone is encouraged to wash their hands regularly and cook at home in this dire periods of containment; grocery has becoming super crazy everywhere in USJ area; from the road side market hawkers in USJ6 or Jaya Grocer at Main Place. I believe people are stocking up and hoarding anything they can get their hands into especially pork and chicken! Also, this morning, a long queue already started before 9am at Taipan waiting for AA Pharmacy to open; perhaps either for Mask, Sanitizer, or Toilet paper again. McDonald Taipan now practice temperature checking before entry and automated ordering system no longer in service; so, only order and pay at the counter.
Nan King kopitiam is unusually quiet on a Saturday morning; maybe a dozen or less stalls are open for business. There are also many debates over whether takeout or delivery service are safer options during this outbreak period. From the vendors preparing the food to the packaging; there will always be a chance of becoming sick with COVID-19 from eating takeout foods; or for that matter, even the grocery one buys from supermarkets.
All that said, trying out "大班云吞面 Taipan Wan Tan Mee" at Nan King kopitiam which offers the usual Charsiew, or Chicken Feet or Curry Chicken Wan Ton Mee; you can also choose between soup based WanTon or fried WanTon. I shouldn't be complaining too much about the breakfast choice today but maybe their curry chicken or chicken feet WanTon Mee could be better choices.
