三井庄猪肉丸干捞老鼠粉 rm$7 👍👍👍😋😋😋
海南茶 Hoilam Cha rm$2.30 👍😋
Budget: MYR$10/person
Cuisine: Chinese Malaysia noodles
Highlights: Large variety of local street food and noodles, Non-Halal (one section for Halal food)
Parking: ICC Pudu Parking or DBKL outside the building
Thoughts: ICC Pudu KL is the new location for Imbi Market (from Jalan Melati) for almost 2 years now! With a heavy heart for folks like us who used to eat our breakfast in the old markets; slowly they have are be adapted to the new modern alternatives. The new facility; although with in-door parking, proper toilets did not have a good start in 2016 with many complaints from traders of crippled water supplies which is key to their daily business. Business is not easy coupled with rentals here are not cheap (from around rm$180+ to rm$10000++/month for large units), compared to the much cheaper rental in the Old Imbi Market!
Nevertheless, of the 109 lots here; last checked maybe 85-90 of them were taken up by hawkers. Now, sunshine or rain; customers can come here for breakfast or lunch with the availability of in-door paid carpark.
The huge rental unit opposite "Ah Weng Koh" used to be vacant but now is bustling with hawkers. One such is the Imbi Road SamKan Chong noodle (燕美路三井庄), my favorite is always with Loh Si Fun (Rat Noodle), the concoction came with pork lard, the usual square pork balls (very nice), and the best was its its Roasted Pork Sausage (yummy delicious); so fresh in the morning. All in the bowl of flavourful brownish soy sauce colour! Too bad, the Hoilam Cha wasn't as good as Ah Weng Kor's version.
Rating: 8 / 10 👍👍👍😋😋😋
