叉烧烧肉饭 Cha Siew & Roasted Pork rice $7
Thoughts: The roasted pork is especially good, still crunchy at 2:00pm. Despite the rain in the morning, the heat is unbearable at noon. at 2pm it was cloudy but still steamy hot, out of I think 8 or 10 hawker stalls, only 3 still open. Usually, the chicken/pork rice hawker (Lian Kee 连记) is the last to close around 3++pm. Parking is easier after the lunch hour rush. Here at USJ 17, it is either Weng Soon Jaya for Chinese street food or Sri Melor for Indian food which opens 24 hours. Lian Kee 连记 only does the morning 早市 and it usually starts around 10:30am to around 3:00pm++. Peak hours may have to queue up a little bit for take-away!
