Thoughts: Recently, there are a few Café additions to SS15; and one of them is "GiGi Coffee". The Café offers 咖啡 Coffee, 碳酸飲料 Fizzy drinks, 非咖啡拿鐵 non-Coffee Latte, 冰沙 Frappe, 茶 Tea, 蛋糕 Cakes, and 餅餌 Pastries; all from rm8 - rm$14. "Gigi Coffee" has not come to USJ, and the nearest is the SS15 corner shop lot visited today, and a total of 21 locations around Klang Valley according to their web page.

Today's breakfast is an excellent rm$6 "丹麥巧克力麵包 Chocolate Danish Pastry", fresh, warm, and tasty rich chocolate flavor. At the SS15 locations, other limited Pastries like 甜甜圈 Donut, 冬陰功泡芙 Tom Yum Puff, and 雞肉咖哩泡芙 Chickens curry Puff (all from rm$5 to rm$6). For Coffee, the Café offers choice of Colombia or Indonesia 阿拉比卡咖啡 Arabica coffee beans choice for most of its Coffee choices, and additional costs of rm$2 to rm$3 for 豆奶 Soy Milk or 燕麥奶 Oat Milk. Both the Colombia and Indonesia coffee beans are sold at rm$39 per packet, and the Café will also grind them free of charge.
The little corner shop lot café is less than 100m from SS15 LRT station. The shop lot was remodeled with an glass front entrance as well as glass wall, with white and blue themes; and it probably looks great at night. The cafe's business is likely mostly for takeaways as if offers a limited 2 tables for dine-in customers.
Gigi Coffee's coffee journey started in the year of 2019, with their first outlet opened at 柏威年廣場 Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, in the heart of 武吉免登 Bukit Bintang with the mission to inspire people to achieve greatness in life, starting with great coffee. And the café also leverage on 表情符號 Emoji (or Stickers) as an iconic lifestyle brand. The creator of Emoji is a Japanese Artist called 栗田穣崇 (くりた しげたか Shigetaka Kurita), who worked for mobile communications company called NTT Docomo; and at the age of 27, he created the first 絵文字 (えもじ emoji) ❤️ Red Heart in 1999; and at the time, he had to work within a grid measuring 12 by 12 pixels. That's a total of 144 dots, or 18 bytes of data, meaning that the Japanese designer's complete set of 176 pictograms took up just over 3 kilobytes. Initially, 栗田穣崇 Shigetaka Kurita created the emoji for a very specific purpose; which is for the ease of communication on a 初期的移動互聯網系統 nascent mobile internet system developed by 日本電信巨頭 Japanese telecom giant NTT DoCoMo. The system offered emails, but they were restricted to 250 characters, so emoji were a way to say more in a limited space and serve only for the Japanese User Base. It is not until around 2005 that 絵文字 emoji was made available through separate apps, which let users copy and paste the icons into text messages and emails. And in 2011, Apple added an official emoji keyboard button to iOS; Android followed suit two years later in 2013. These efforts allowed people to access emoji directly from a keyboard on their phones. And since then, “I love you” became ❤️ and “LOL” became 🤣. Fast forward today, this minuscule dose of information, that comes with an enormous amount of meaning has become so popular that it can be argued that emojis make online communication richer and more emotive in lesser words.
