Thoughts: 菩提本无树 about 六祖壇經 by 六祖大師. 六祖大師 is said to be not literate, he got the wisdom through self actualization through his heart and mind. That's the greatest gift of knowledge attained by someone without knowing of how to read. 
Buddhism concepts each 2-3 pages, very profound and easy to read. Many of the concepts are still very much related to the basis of the Heart Mantra 心經.
