Thoughts: We used to have 2 choice of Japanese food destination in the Taipan Area (Sumo and then Sushi Mentai both in USJ9) and Sumo is one of the very few Certified Halal Japanese Restaurant. And Sumo has been in Taipan longer than any other Japanese restaurants here in USJ 9/10 area.
Then came Sushi Mentai to Taipan USJ 9 somewhere in 2015 or earlier, a few years ago introducing rm$1.90 and rm$2.80 plates and become a crowd puller due to its affordable prices. Then we have Washoku 和食寿司 came to USJ10 in 2019 offers similar price range of Japanese food as Sushi Mentai.
