SCCC offers 中國 China's 科興新冠疫苗 Sinovac-CoronaVac Vaccine, the Convention Centre has been converted into a Mega Vaccination Centre and has started administering Vaccinations since June 7th (just 20 days ago). Initial capacity will be 3000 doses a day in the first 4 weeks but scheduled to increase to 8000 dose per day capacity after that. More than 800+ public servants, volunteers, medical personnel, as well as SP Setia Staff will be present to assist in crowd control, registration, vaccination, and post-vaccination observations. Parking fees has also been waived for all Vaccination recipients.

My Appointment was 12:30pm but arrived 1 hour early on 11:30am, but immediately was allowed into the designated Hall

The entire process was around 35 minutes, excellent service by both the Government staff, Volunteers, as well SP Setia Staff. Besides a little bitsy tiny pain on the injection area for maybe 15+ minutes, there wasn't any other adverse effects so far after the jab!
As of today, there are 18 Vaccines approved by at least 1 Country; and 科興新冠疫苗 Sinovac is one of the 6 approved Vaccines to be used in Malaysia.
科興新冠疫苗 Sinovac was the second China Vaccine to get the green light (Emergency Use with Interim Policy Recommendations) from 世界衛生組織 WHO on June 1st (the first was 國藥控股 Sinopharm). China says it has already produced 10 million doses of Covid vaccines for the Covax scheme and that it aims to hit 3 billion doses by the end of the year. As well as China, the vaccine is approved for use in 32 countries, and has already being administered in countries including 智利 Chile, 巴西 Brazil, 印度尼西亞 Indonesia, 墨西哥 Mexico, 泰國 Thailand, 馬來西亞 Malaysia, 新加坡 Singapore, 菲律賓 Philippines and 土耳其 Turkey.

One of 科興疫苗 Sinovac Vaccine's main advantages is that it can be stored in a standard refrigerator at 2-8 degrees Celsius. This means Sinovac is a lot more useful to developing countries which might not be able to store large amounts of vaccine at low temperatures. The second dose of Sinovac can be administered between 2-4 weeks after Dose 1.
科興疫苗 Sinovac is a Vaccine type which uses the "不活化疫苗(大陸) or 滅活疫苗(香港) Inactivated Vaccine" technique compared to Live-Attenuated Vaccine or Viral Vector Vaccines (AZ, CansinoBio, or Sputnik5). All these Vaccine technique are conventional methods which uses either a weakened or inactive parts of a particular organism (抗原 antigen) as the main process that triggers an immune response within the body. Thus, in an inactivated vaccine, the 病原 pathogen is killed or modified in such a way that it is unable to replicate. It cannot cause the disease and is, therefore, suitable for those with a compromised immune system. Interesting that google search shows that the Influenza vaccine (for the common cold) was the first successful inactivated virus vaccine (developed in the 1930s) instead of the Rabies Vaccine (1885 by Louis Pasteur).
