Thoughts: And so, the "famous" Ah-Xian recommended "Chan Meng Kee Char Siew Wan Ton Mee" has landed at USJ 1's Damen. Positioned itself just next to Morganfield on the Ground Floor; opened just a few weeks ago!
Seriously, I have yet to visit the SS2 Chan Meng Kee (maybe next week). There is another one called Meng Kee at Glenmarie, no idea if they are the same!
With very very high expectations, I get to sample their famous Char Siew, quite disappointed, a bit tough, not tender at all. Nevertheless, the chicken feet was "well braised", the plate came with two succulent chicken feet, several mushrooms (full piece) and "bak choi" as well as Chan Meng Kee's home-made "think noodle"; too bad it was slightly dry (not enough source).
Forget the Lobak! Maybe next can try the duck and roasted pork as well as "Siew Cheong". As a new eatery in Damen, its packed at lunch time. Prices of Wan Ton Mee variants here are doubled of those at Kopitiam, overall ok lar.
