02.04.2017 Breakfast
@ 美食茶餐室 Restoran Meisek USJ 14
8, Jalan USJ 14/1K, Persiaran Kewajipan, Subang Jaya
招聘粥 Signature Porridge $6
Thoughts: This is porky porridge, the bowl is filled with fried pork intestine, very crunchy. also not stingy with Pork floss (or is it chicken floss), too bad the century year old egg pieces were too little. I was all sweating at 1:30pm eating this bowl of hot porridge in a shop full of patrons in a very very hot afternoon. With this kind of weather, It is bound to rain again soon towards the evening.
It's $6 per bowl of either fish, chicken, or pork porridge. And $6.50 for medium, $7 for large. Add $1 for an egg! The Porridge very Cantonese or Hong Kong style, i think! But I have had many chances of savoring Hong Kong style porridge before and they are of course much different and tastier, the one I remembered most is 生滚牛肉粥 at 七姊妹街 somewhere in the area of 北角 North Point, Hong Kong island. But porridge shops are too common everywhere in Hong Kong, as my work assignments for many years to Hong Kong always bring me to put up at hotels around 北角, and so I am familiar eating at those streets of Hong Kong around North Point. Gosh!, I missed Hong Kong, both the food and street photographing there!
