Thoughts: Klang is obviously famous for its Bak Kut Teh and some "Klangites" claim that there could be at least 300+ Bak Kut Teh shops in Klang itself. BUT if you are not up for a porky Bak Kut Teh breakfast or lunch, then there is this popular Chee Cheong Fun and Yong Tao Foo single shop lot in Taman Eng Ann (the street just behind the morning market).
Thoughts: Klang is obviously famous for its Bak Kut Teh and some "Klangites" claim that there could be at least 300+ Bak Kut Teh shops in Klang itself. BUT if you are not up for a porky Bak Kut Teh breakfast or lunch, then there is this popular Chee Cheong Fun and Yong Tao Foo single shop lot in Taman Eng Ann (the street just behind the morning market).
There is probably a good reason why there seem to always a long queue into the shop, as the locals come here for their favorite YTF CCF intown. Long Kei offers maybe around 35-40+ choices of Yong Tao Foo from 豬皮 Pork Skin, 青辣椒 Green or 紅辣椒 red chili, 茄子 brinjal, 苦瓜 bitter gourd, 腐竹 fuchok rolls, 白豆腐 white tofu, etc. Both steamed 扁腸粉 Flat or 圓形腸粉 Round type Chee Cheong Fun are available.
釀豆腐 Yong Tau Foo originated in the 中國廣東省 Guangdong province of China and was brought to 南洋 Nanyang locations such as 新加坡 Singapore and 馬來亞 Malaya by early 中國移民 Chinese immigrants. The name Yong Tau Foo or 酿豆腐 translates to "stuffed tofu," which refers to the process of stuffing ingredients such as mostly 魚醬 fish paste but also 混合肉魚醬 fish+meat paste, 蔬菜 vegetables, into 豆腐 tofu or other food items.
