Thoughts: Is it called Thosai or Dhosai or Dosa ?

Tosai/Thosai - Malaysia (LOL !)
Dosa - Wikipedia
Wikipedia says that Dosa was originated in Southern India. Even in India, it seems that there are different variants of Dosa served as either soft, think, or crispy thin. It seems that the main ingredient of Dosa is "key ingredients are rice and black gram/lenthil". Although after reading about black gram in google, I still don't know what it is but Rice is carbohydrate and black gram is protein; so, Dosa is FAT ! but at least it is not sweet.
The variant that I ordered at Seri Melur is Egg Dosa (Egg Thosai) served with Dal, Curry, and Sambar.
