Food Thoughts: Kabsa/Kabsah cooking is believed to be indigenous to Yemen as it is a national dish of Yemen. However, I have tasted in in Bahrain as well as it is also a famous dish that can be found in Jordon, Arab, Qatar, Oman. The spices used in kabsa are largely responsible for its taste; from googling, the spices reported to include black pepper, cloves, cardamom, saffron, cinnamon, black lime, bay leaves and nutmeg. These are the ingredients that make the taste of the meats which can be chicken, goat, lamb, camel, beef, fish and shrimp. The Lamb Kabsa here at D'Arab Cafe tasted really good, meat was tender and tasty; interestingly the dish was accompanied with a sauce which is called "arabic tomato sauce" or "salata" as a dip for the lamb kabsah. 
You can also opt to have a cup of arab tea at $1.50 per filling, but it is mass produced and re-filled from a huge container, not the best arab tea I have tasted.

Food Thoughts: Despite it being too salty for me, I am OK with the Pork Noodle by Keong Kee here at Thong Khee Kopitiam (Glenmarie). Interestingly, it is also served with steamed minced pork with preserved vegetables (lightly that is where the saltiness also comes from)! Also opted for a raw egg on the hot bowl of soup, it came with pork lard as well. 
So, I have tried the nasi lemak and hong kong wan ton mee and today the pork noodle at Thong Kee Glenmarie; 2 more hawker stalls, selling pan mee and curry noodles to be tried in the next visits.

Food Thoughts: Lagsana's skin are made of wide-flat pasta (I think a little bit of resemblance to the flat meehoon koay). The Lagsana dish is made of multiple layers of such flat pasta/sheets, sandwitching them with "lots of" meat and cheese. Tomate Kitchen offers both chicken meat and beef as the meat option and the lady owner recommends her beef. Surprisingly not too "fatty" and the meal comes with garlic bread and a bowl of home-made tomato soup! Her kitchen also offers spagetti, tomato rice, beef stew, fried chicken, and macaroni dishes. 
Tomate Kitchen is one of the stalls within the Food Park located at the 1st floor of Utropolis Marketplace. Lunch is packed with customers from offices nearby as well as KDU campus students (KDU is opposite Utropolis Glenmarie). The Food Park (Cafateria) is clean, not too noisy with food choices from Japanese Sushi, Chinese noodles Pan Mee, Hainan Corner Chicken Rice, and Malay Food Stall which serves Nasi Ambeng! Very nice place for lunch with colleagues, in-door parking is free currently at Utropolis Marketplace.

Food Thoughts: It was a spicy and salty Char Koay Teow, not the best nor the worst in town (minus the salty part). Maybe the uncle a bit "重手" on the salt this morning. There are only 3 active stalls at Da Zhung; Chee Cheong Fun w/Yong Tao Foo, Wan Ton Mee, and the Char Koay Teow.

Food Thoughts: There is a reason why Uncle Don's is always crowded since its opening at USJ 10 Taipan, even close to 3pm still almost fully packed with customers! It is really because the prices generally seen affordable; for example, the Beef Burger costs around $15, the same would at other "sit-down restaurants" would likely charge the same burger at the price range of $25-$30 (not counting fast food chains).
The set version offers 3 meat choices of burger at Uncle Don; fish, beef, or pork and 2 types of buns either normal or charcoal. (the lamb choice is from the non-set menu, slightly pricier) The concoction in the bun includes cucumber, tomato, pineapple, fried egg, apple coleslaw and lettuce. Both the lamb (04.11.2017) and the beef (today), I chose the charcoal bun, their meat patties are all home-made (according to their menu). Despite the crowd and noise, the food served at Uncle Don's has yet to disappoint at this 4th visit since 07.Oct.2017 last year!
Since its opening, the inner-roads leading to Uncle Don's (at USJ 12/1F) around 12 noon onwards has become a night-mare. So, do yourself a favor and try to park elsewhere like USJ 12/1G or the multi-story facility paid parking at USJ 12/1D.
