Thoughts: Secret Recipe is generally known for its cakes since 1997, not just cakes but fine quality premium cakes of a higher price even when it started way back 20 years ago. At that time, generally most neighbouring cake shops are selling cake slices at $2++ but Secret Recipe's cake sare already around $5++ at that time. Now of course, a slice of Secret Recipe cake is around $10++. 
It is however, one of the longerst running cake shop at Taipan. The other one is Berry at USJ 10/1E. But nowadyas, even neighbourhood cake shops like Berry are also selling cake slices at prices of $6 or $7 above. 
One of the recipes I enjoyed was the Original Chicken Cornish where the crust used to be thinner and crispier. Somehow, today's version was thick and kind of soggy despite I asked them to reheat in the microwave/oven. The Secret Recipe's Cornish is stuffed with "pulled chicken" (like cheese LOL) and not cubes which can be found maybe in our local Curry Puffs! 
For the price of one Secret Recipe's Cornish, one can buy maybe 5-6 small curry puffs! Elsewhere in SS2, there are also Large size Curry Puffs (with boild egg inside) which are also much cheaper (maybe $2.50 or $3 per piece); haven't tried those for awhile. 
Still, Secret Recipe still is one of the larger Cafe Chain (if not the largest) Halal-Certified restaurant by JAKIM in Malaysia. Interestly, it has over 400 locations around Asia including Australia, Singapore, China, Indo-China, and Thailand.

Thoughts: Its Green Apple + Celery + Cucumber + Ginger for this "Green Detox" drink, its slightly spicy after taste likely due to the ginger, but I hope it does its job a little bit. 
I would have thought that "The Biker Hub Cafe" would not be opened on a Public Holiday (Aug 31), but it was packed with customers at 2:30pm! This is likely a place that many "Subang-nites" do know about especially perhaps those who are bicycle enthusiast.

Thoughts: Called Samsung Pyramid Service Center +603-56127666, Call Center personnel effectively informed the LCD can be replaced with 3-4 hours on the same day. Here is the map location of Samsung Express Service Center at Sunway Pyramid.

Sunway Pyramid is an "over crowded" place as usual and especially on the a Public Holiday like today. The Samsung Express Service Centre at Pyramids was already serving quite some complaints on 12:30pm on arriving there! According to the front desk staff, LCD issues are quite common for S7 Edge and many failures after 1 year. Since mine is around 10 months old, it is under Warranty, else the LCD replacement will costs around $1200! It is therefore a good idea for S7 Edge owners to purchase the plus 1 year extra Warranty which is $99. 

The replacement was done within 1.5 hours, that also includes the 20 minutes water resistant test. As a result I got a new LCD screen plus the I was told there also have to change the front bezels (the edge covering), making it look like a new phone! 

I have an Up-Date notfication/request on the S7 edge for several months now but hesitant to perform the OS up-date. I was told it is the "Android Nougat update", the update has change quite a number of things including the camera software where the Pro mode, shooting modes are a little bit different but looks nice. The standard calendar, alarm, phone, gallery, calculator, settings have a different look-and-feel to it as well. 

Android version 7.0 is called Nougat. 
I understand the S8 and S8 edge is delivered with verison 7.1.2 and Google will build the 7.1.2 for S7 as well. I am not sure when will Google will release the 7.1.2 build for S7 edge. Or maybe I am not aware of it.

Thoughts: This restaurant is the corner shop located at junction of Lebuh Pudu (main road) and Jalan Tun H.S.Lee (side road). I have no idea of the history of this shop but many years street photographing in KL have passed by it and never visited even once. 
The restaurant has 3 stalls, one selling noodles, another one mixed rice, and roasted pork, chicken rice. 
I am ordering the dry pork noodle. A bit oily what goes in to the dry noodle, I think it did came with some pork lard, that's nice! I like the fact that the pork balls are not overly salty. 
Price is at $6 which is not bad considering many tourist walk pass these 2 roads (Tun H.S.Lee Str. & Lebuh Pudu). It is definitely reasoble even for locals considering the location of the restaurant. I shall remember this place for its other noodles and perhaps the roasted pork/chicken rice next time street photographing in KL.

Highlights: Come early next time like 7am else you won't be able to get into Merdeka Square. 
Thoughts: Arriving at Lebuh Pasar Besar leading to Merdeka Square for the Parade but all roads were blocked before 8am; most locals and foreigners were shooed off by the police. There were no information on how to get there. I know of another road leading to Merdeka Square about 15 mintues away which is Jalan Tun Perak. Reaching there, huge crowd of people wanted to get into the parade area of Merdeka Square but no admittance allowed anymore! 
Without any choice, and no parade to see as it is only meant for early birds who I think may have to pay for the temporary build seats structure. The hugh temporarily build seat structure is blocking most of the parade views from all sides from Jalan Tun Perak. Intersting that the show is only for the people with status and rankings in politic and business and those with money to buy a ticket for the seats. Pitiful Malaysians or foreigners who came (perhaps a little late) to have a glimpse and join in the celebration. I am puzzled of why build the temporary structure just for a few some people to seat (with ticket or few does not matter) but to block all other spectators view of the parade; rather incensitive planning. One Chinese guy say, "家里看直播更好!", which is true anyway. 
When I approach some "Rela-like" youngsters and police on how to get to parade area, I get no answers as they say they are following orders to not allow any more people near the parade area, and they don't know about anything else! LOL! 
One Malay guy told me, "datang sini tengok orang lain saja!" Locals and foreigners alike are standing around behind the blocked areas, quite pitiful how the organizers don't bother to prepare assistance and guidance of proper viewing areas. I am sure many are frustrated and disappointed. 
But I wasn't disappointed, I have shot Merdeka day on 2013 (4 years ago) where I did came early before 7am to Merdeka Square to wait for the Parade (I guess also can only blame self it not arriving earlier to book a "stand" to watch the show). So, today I am shooting people on the streets only, and for about 3 hours, I shot about 330 frames. With the 75-300mm, I was able to choose a spot and photograph distance people shots. It is an enjoyment to be able to release the shutter of the EM1 and shooting all the time using the view finder. 
Maybe, next year I shall try to be early to do another Merdeka Day shooting without waiting for another 4 years.
