KL Pavilion Elite
たこ焼き Takoyaki $12.90 (6pcs)
Review: The piping hot Takoyaki balls made with premium wheat flour and octopus filling with a choice of four variants - Original, Negidako, Cheese Mentaiko and Teritama. The Original variant is Gindaco's signature (was told), as it is drizzled with Gindaco's signature sauce and topped with dried seaweed (powdery) and dancing bonito flakes (dried fermented and smoked tuna flakes). Katsuobushi (Japanese: 鰹節) or okaka (おかか) is the common term but sometimes its just called bonito flakes for its simplicity.
In is interesting to find out that Takoyaki was first popularized in Osaka, where a street vendor named Tomekichi Endo is credited with its invention in 1935. Originally become very popular in the Kansai region as a street food, but now in supermarkets as well as convenient stores in Japan. The new eatery located at Pavilion Elite at the same floor as the cafateria (level 1).
