Thoughts: In my opinion, goto "Chulia Court" at night as I think the lighting here on the old deco should be very interesting, as it prides itself as one of the best adaptations of a heritage shop-house for a restaurant, music bar and nightclub situated in the heart of Unesco World Heritage City of Georgetown, somewhere on Chulia Street. It's a Gastropub serving both lunch and dinner with surprisingly variety of coffee and of course alcohol. "Chulia Courts" presents itself with a theme which is dedicated to the love of Peranakan Heritage, Chinoiserie and an eclectic mix of European influences.
I came here for a glass of white wine to wind down the lazy afternoon! For sure, I will have to remember to come back to the "Chulia Court" in the evening/night for a proper dinner and drinks.
Renovated in 2015, "Chulia Court the Tavern" is also a 3-star inn (upstairs) with 12 rooms arranged over 2 floors. Last check the hotel for the single room (2 persons) is about rm$130+. Lets see if I get another teaching assignment in Penang, I might just stay here for 2-3 days.
