Thoughts: This 安记 On Kee in SS14 has nothing to do with the famous Ipoh On Kee Bean Sprout Chicken Rice shop. But on a Sunday evening at 7pm, the restaurant is almost empty; unlike the 人山人海 "People Mountain, People Sea" of the Ipoh On Kee!
The Ipoh "Lou Wong" and "On Kee" bean sprouts seems really taste fresh, juicy, crunchy, and simply very different compared to what is offered here. Also quite disappointed with the Charsiew which is really hard to bite, Roasted pork was also so so! Not sure if it is psychology but the Farm Chicken here is just so so, I'd somehow prefer the Steamed Chicken here.
Besides Farm and Steamed Chicken, SS14 On Kee also offers Roasted chicken either with rice or hor fun. Also in the menu is Curry noodles and Porridge! Something of interesting to me is the "Curry Pork Leg Rice"!
