Thoughts: Established in 1921, Coliseum is now 98 years old! A real example of Colonial heritage of early 1900s. Walking into the restaurant and bar is truly like walking back to the history of Colonial days of Malaya.
The restaurant has two sections, one for dining (no park, halal) and another section is a full bar area. For lunch, I am having Coliseum's signature 海南鸡排 "Hainanese Chicken Chop" with thick fries and tiny green beans, in a sea of orange color of tomato sauce. The dish was clearly a sweet treat, enjoyed it. After lunch, adjurned to the "watering hole" area for an hour of quiet beer. Overall, a satisfying lunch.
Besides the original location at Jalan TAR, there are 2 more Coliseum Cafe; one at Mid Valley and another at PJ Section 13 Plaza 33!
Looking forward to visit the branch at PJ Plaza 33, perhaps either for the much talked about Oxtail soup or the Sizzling Australian Rib Eye Steak!
