哥羅麵 Kolo Mee is a type of dry-style 沙勞越 Sarawak Malaysian Chinese noodle. The word "哥羅 Kolo" means "乾撈 dry mix" and "Mee" refers to "麵 noodle" in the 閩南(福建)話 Hokkien Chinese dialect. The dish was introduced in 古晉 Kuching, 沙勞越 Sarawak; probably in the 1800s when Chinese migrants from China came to Sarawak, mostly from the 福建省 Hokkien Province. The noodles main characteristics are 猪肉碎 minced pork meat, 沒有豬油渣 without pork lard, 香炸洋蔥 fragrant fried onions, 瘦叉燒片 lean char siew slices, and egg noodle tossed in 淡醬汁 light sauce.
