Thoughts: There are maybe 4 watering holes in USJ 10 Taipan, Uncle Don's and The Brew House; both are popular watering holes for the neighbourhood, and always pulls in a good crowd in the evenings. There is one more (behind the Brew House) which is "Bid Daddy's" which also offers reasonably cheaper beer and food, maybe not as crowded as its 2 other predecessors. Of course, another not so obvious watering hole is at the 2nd floor of La Cocina which offers not just local beer but limited imported beer, Vodka, Gin, Whisky, Cocktails as well. Maybe there are more that are either new additions lately or that I have not noticed. Nevertheless, its neighbouring USJ 9 definitely have installed at least 6 if not 7 or 8 watering holes. But, Uncle Don and The Brew House remains to be noted as local progressive chain of restaurants & bar, with each having maybe 18-20+ outlets mostly in the Klang Valley and maybe some presence in Penang as well. As there are very popular for not just beer but also food as they are family style restaurants concepts, with the objective of delivering affordable quality dining experiences.
You are lucky if can find a parking spot around The Brew House in Taipan, but some as usual will just double-park in front of the restaurant! Both Brew House and Uncle Don's still offer the Frozen Mug for Carlsberg at around rm$11+ or less, that's always a good choice at both Pubs besides the 1664 Blanc and Connor's.
The Brew House offers around 24 beer bites, a mixture of fusion, western, and Thai style from rm$10.80 to rm$26.80. Mine tonight was the fusion of east and west "叉烧配菠萝莎莎酱 Pork Charsiew w/Pineapple Salsa; while the Pork Charsiew is very chinese, the spicy sweet Pineapple Salsa is of maybe Central or South American origin, very interesting combination.
