Thoughts: 名香泰饼家 Ming Xiang Tai is all about traditional chinese hand-made pastries and biscuits. I'd say that their signature "三轮车蛋挞 Trishaw Egg Tart" is a must try here. I came here to sample another signature dish which is the "传统枕头包 Traditional Baoz" but wasn't available at the time of visit. Interestingly Ming Xiang Tai prides itself as a "Pork free" Pastry shop, as of today! I am quite sure its one of those tourist stops of a package tour in Penang.
名香泰饼家 Ming Xiang Tai has outlets in Burma Road, Bayan Baru, Penang Road but today I am visiting the Amenian Street outlet, which is near to Lim Jetty, across the street from the Jetty Food Court. The Amenian Street shop decoration is mainly wooden with traditional motives, perhaps mostly for take-away, although few tables and chairs are available for a quick bite at the shop.
