Thoughts: 榕槟茶楼 Yong Pin Dim Sum is just stone throw away from Kimberley Street along Jalan Sungai Ujong. But there are several Dim Sum restaurants nearby; namely, 桃園茶樓雞飯 Tho Yuen on Campbell street, 龍記點心茶樓 Leong Kee Tim Sum Restaurant on Jalan Pintal Tali, and 大東酒楼 Tai Tong Restauran on Cintra steet. The 4 above are very near to each other, at the heart of Georgetown and I suppose each has their own 忠实粉丝.
Having been around since the 80s, 榕槟茶楼 Yong Pin Dim Sum serves not only traditional cantonese style Dim Sum, but only some fusion ones and you crave for some fresh steamy chinese food early in the morning, it opens as early as 6am everyday of the week.
Finally, I get to taste another fusion Penang-style Dim Sum "鸡窝包 Special Chicken Pao" where 糯米鸡 Lo-Mai-Kai meets with the 大包 Dai Bao! I can say that I don't having this one here next time to Penang. Har Gao was equally not bad. End the morning with very positive experice!
