Thoughts: Kakigori is totally self-service, from ordering to collecting your order (from the carbinet: see picture#5) and to return back the utensils to a designated area! Perhaps the "icy" Uji Matcha wasn't my cup of tea (I think our Malaysian ABC is better), the Uji Matcha is iced flavored with "green tea" and red beans inside, something called "Kinako" milk is provided on the side. Yeah, the tips of the "ice" is "Warabi Mochi" (a chilled, deliciously chewy, jelly-like mochi covered with sweet and nutty soybean powder). I think this kind of thing is for the young people or couples in love.
But, I think their other offerings including cakes, Japanese finger food (eg: Japanese sweet Patato) drinks, and recipe (hot versions) maybe well worth another try in the next visit.
Nevetheless, Kakigōri (かき氷) is a term to mean Japanese shaved ice dessert flavored with syrup and a sweetener, often condensed milk. It is often also served with other flavors such as lemon, melon, green tea etc. Kakigori used to be a Japanese street food but now also sold in specialty shops, convenience stalls, festivals, and restaurants in Japan! (perhaps similar to our ABC popular in many shops as well)
