Thoughts: Last time I had Dim Sum here was at afternoon around 2:30pm of 21.November.2016 on a very very hot day, despite the make-shift roof of the stall, it was not a pleasant experience sitting in side an oven-like condition!
This morning I arrived at Petaling Street at around 6:20am and the young man already had all the steam dim sum and pao almost ready! I had dim sum last time and the same this morning of assorted 5 pieces of any dim sum choice for $6.50; but I topped up with a glutionous rice (with chicken), bit oily but nice. Certainly a whole different experience sitting here in the cooler morning in KL.
There are really quite a variety of dim sum choices inside those big steam baskets, and buns (paos) are offered in both in meaty and vegetarian variety. I shall remember vegetarian days or when I feel eating vegetarian that this is possible choice when I happen to be teaching in KL.
On Petaling Street or China Town in KL, in the early mornings before 7am, you can only find food on a small stretch of Jalan Hang Lekir; amont them are 汉记靓粥 Hon Kee porridge, 金莲记豬腸粉 Kim Lian Kee Chee Cheong Fun, 2 or 3 "no-name" hawkers selling "Fried" stuff, and Uncle Dim Sum! I like the rest probably will open slightly later after 7 or 8am. Before 7am, Parking is easy on the road shoulders around Jalan Hang Lekir or even Jalan Petaling itself. But once the vendors start setting up their tents around 7am, you better move your car else park at your own risk on their territory.
