Thoughts: "KUE Cafe" in USJ16 is now "LAPAN Gourmet", the new Café tenant retains almost all of the the previous Cafe's layout and furniture. Today's lunch is the current promotion price rm$14.90 before the 5% service charges (the normal price is rm$18.90) NASI LEMAK, and an interesting one. Why the name "伊麗莎"椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak Mak Elisa may not matter, as it could be the Chef name or creators name or maybe just a catchy marketing name BUT it is an interesting "re-creation" of Malaysia's National dish.

The plate comes with the "Nasi Lemak usual" of 煮雞蛋 boiled egg, 黃瓜片 cucumber slices, 花生 fried nuts, 炸江魚仔 fried anchovies, and 辣洋蔥叁峇醬 spicy bawang sambal. Also, 香米 warmed Jasmine rice, and a 炸雞腿 Whole Fried Chicken Leg which is topped with an interesting and likable Home-made Signature greenish color 綠色香料醬16 spice paste (looks a little bit like 綠色莎莎醬 green salsa); all-in-all, an interesting Nasi Lemak variant. And yes, there was also a piece of 半熟芒果 semi-ripe Mango on top of the rice!
Besides Nasi Lemak, the Café also offers 板面 Pan Mee, a variety of 辣餃子 Spicy Dumplings as well as 滷 Braised items (滷豆腐 Tofu, 滷雞翅 Wings, 滷雞爪 Chicken feet etc), 麵包雞蛋吐司 Bread Egg Toast, 咖哩叻沙 Curry Laksa and 蛋糕 Cake. The "娘惹咖哩叻沙 Nyonya Curry Laksa" comes with 意大利面 Spaghettis sound interesting! Not forgetting, I guess some kind of dessert called "白果 Ginkgo, 薏米 Barley, 豆腐 Beancurd, and 甘榜雞蛋 Kampung Egg" in the House Specials section of the 2 page menu.
I believe the Café opened in December 20th 2021 (just before Christmas) a few weeks ago. This information is from this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/cili8/ "Cili8 Noodle Bar & Kitchen" and looks like it was previously located in PJ's Plaza 33 with a different restaurant name and maybe relocated to USJ with a the new name as "LAPAN Gourmet"!
