Thoughts: Honestly, if I were being presented a take-away pack with chicken and its soup without knowing its chef, I would have thought its something from a Chinese shop. The steam chicken was really nice, very tender, much like mom's steam chicken where she carefully place the chicken in a boiled soup and then run the chicken over cold water, the process creates that tender chicken meat. The rice and 烧鸡 fried chicken resembles Hainanese chicken rice, even the soup very "chinese" cooking.
The shop is called CRG "Chicken Rice Guys" managed by 3 Malay Brothers; Aman, Audi, and Attan at a shop lot in Seksyen 7 Shah Alam (opposite Section 7's Medan Selera). Very enthusiastic and cheerful young Malay boys making an honest living doing what they like as I had a few words with the eldest of the 3 brothers.
The fried wanton and bak choy was equally nicely done, appetizing and fresh vegetables with oyster-like sauce on the bak choy. The spiced duck comes with plum sauce was my second choice of their duck serving as their other choice of "roasted duck" was already out of stock before 1pm. The spiced duck option with plum sauce too was not bad!
Highly recommend to anyone who likes a good serving of halal chicken rice to Restoran CRG "Chicken Rice Guys"! Mind you, the shop is likely packed with customer during lunch times, as today was! The service was good; despite a big crowd, meals arrived on the table in good time.
