巴生 Klang is renowned for its 肉骨茶早餐 Bak Kut Teh due to its historical ties to the dish's origins, with many claiming it originated in 巴生港區 Klang's port area among 福建移民 Hokkien immigrants who settled there, and the subsequent development of the dish into a local specialty. While there may not be any Statistics on the number of Bak Kut Teh shops in Klang; some say that the number 300 or more is probably a good number. In many case, a Taman (housing area "Gardens") like 巴生百家利花園 Taman Berkeley have at least 10 Bak Kut Teh shops and there are many Taman (Housing Gardens) in the while of the Klang District.
