Today's rm$6.50 爪哇麵 Jawa Mee for take-away during this MCO3.0 Day 14, the tapao package comes with the generous amount of 黃麵條 yellow noodle, the typical rojak ingredients (豆腐 tofu, 煮雞蛋 boiled egg, 土豆 potato, some 生菜 lettuce, 小檸檬 small lemon piece etc), another 3 packets are the 甜土豆醬 sweet potato sauce, 餅乾 crackers, plus another small plastic bag of 桑巴醬 sambal (without the 豆芽 bean sprouts). Interesting sweet and spicy concoction.
Jawa Mee (or Mee Jawa) is said to be a 傳統印尼爪哇面 traditional Indonesia-Javanese noodle (called Bakim Jawa or Mie Jawa); Mie jawa vendors are commonly found in Javanese cities and towns, with major concentration in Yogyakarta, Klaten, Wonosobo, Semarang and Solo. The dish is also popular in 馬來西亞 Malaysia, and I think 新加坡 Singapore.
