The innards are 大大塊的牛肺 chunky pieces of cow's lungs with a soft, chewy texture. Then there's 口感更勁道的蜂巢牛肚 honeycomb tripe with a springier bite. The SS14 香港茶餐廳 Hong Kong Char Chaan Teng eatery is 老闆是一位香港人 owned by a Hong Kong native 王赞强 Wong Tsan Keung (第二代老闆 2nd generation), who relocated to Malaysia 2 years ago since his son is studying at an international school here in 巴生谷 Klang Valley. The shop name of "廣成麵家 Kwong Shin Noodles House" probably opened sometime before the Chinese New Year of 2024 or late 2023 in a shop lot in the Bak Kut Teh street of SS14. The SS14 owner 王赞强 Wong Tsan Keung is the 王森的幼子 youngest son of 王森 Wong Sum; as "廣成麵家 Kwong Shin Noodles House" can be traced for its roots back to the founder, 王森 Wong Sum, who was born in 中國潮州 Chaozhou, China in 1939. 王森 Wong Sum snuck into Hong Kong to seek a better life, working first at a 餛飩店工作 wantan shop. Later he returned to 潮州 Chaozhou, where he picked up his skills from a willing master. In the early 1970s, he opened his own stall on 旺角羅便臣街 Mongkok's Robinson Street selling 潮州街頭小吃 Chaozhou street food. Since those days, he insisted on 每天製作新鮮的魚蛋 making fish balls fresh every day. The stall located in Mongkok's wet market had to shutter in 1982, due to a 收回權港大牌檔 government policy of clearing all the street style "Dai Pai Dong" eateries. In 1984, the Wong family reopened in 廣福鄒 Kwong Fuk Estate in 大埔 Taipo, with the name, "廣成麵家 Kwong Shing Noodle House". Sum Wong's legacy was passed on to his son 王赞强 Wong Tsan Keung and Brother who continued to uphold the traditions, like their father's secret recipe of 手工製作的魚蛋 handcrafted fish balls and 墨魚丸 cuttlefish balls.
With the opening of this outlet in SS14, the Taipo eatery remains open and is operated by 黃贊強的兄弟經營 Tsan Keung Wong's brother. At Kwong Shing, the vibe is casual just like any 香港茶餐廳 Cha Chaan Teng you walk into in Hong Kong; and with the same style, Mr Wong has brought the vibes of Hong Kong Char Chaan Teng to SS14.
