Thoughts: 糊內峇六拜美食中心 SPICE PISA Cafe, formerly known as "Pisa Corner Cafe", is a large hawker Centre in 糊內 Relau, 檳城 Penang. I believe "糊內 Relau" is a residential neighborhood within the 峇六拜區 Bayan Lepas district of Penang, which is located maybe about 10-12km southwest of the center of 喬治市 George Town, the capital city of Penang Island.
Thoughts: 糊內峇六拜美食中心 SPICE PISA Cafe, formerly known as "Pisa Corner Cafe", is a large hawker Centre in 糊內 Relau, 檳城 Penang. I believe "糊內 Relau" is a residential neighborhood within the 峇六拜區 Bayan Lepas district of Penang, which is located maybe about 10-12km southwest of the center of 喬治市 George Town, the capital city of Penang Island.
The food court which opens only in the evenings for dinner from 5-6pm to mid-night probably started operation around early 2010s. Customers are spoiled for choice here with more than 50 stalls (and maybe 400-500 or more dishes): offering all kinds of 大馬街頭食品 local street food, 西餐 Western, 日本餐 Japanese, 韓國餐 Korean and 泰國餐 Thai food hawker foods. There are really a lot of tables here, and not just weekend but weekdays are always crowded; and you will have to quote your table number to the hawker stalls when ordering your food. Some hawker stalls are offering dinner as early as 5pm and different hawker stalls will have differing off-days; although most stalls start closing around mid-night, customers can stay back for their bottled beers here after mid-night!
There are too many choices: from the popular Penang hawker choices like 檳城福建麵 Hokkien Mee, Lobak, 檳城羅惹 Penang Rojak, 檳城滷肉 Lobak, 雞飯 Chicken rice, 檳城蝦麵 Penang Har Mee, 鴨麵 Duck noodles, 粿條湯 Koay Teow Th'ng, 炒飯炒麵 Fried Rice & Fried Noodles, 炒粿條 Penang Char Koay Teow, 雲吞麵 Wanton Mee to the more exotic 田雞粥 Frog porridge, 烤魚 Grilled fish, 海鮮菜餚 Seafood dishes, 螃蟹料理 Crab dishes etc. etc. there is even a 印度煎餅 Roti Canai and 馬來椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak stall.
Today's rm$8 "鴨腿麵線 Duck Drumstick Mee Sua in herbal soup" is a real herbal dish with strong herbal soup and even lots of 杞子 Goji berries, 玉竹 Yuk Jok, and probably some 淮山片 Huai Shan with thin egg noodles and a tender Duck Drumstick! The rm$12 "田雞粥 Frog Porridge" is also a likable dish, not too salty and somewhat a good starter dish before calling a main meal of the night. The "特色串燒 Special Skewers" hawker stall offers interesting 雞肉串 chicken, 海鮮串 seafood, and 豬肉串 pork skewers with different flavors (like 麻辣口味 Mala or 綠咖哩 Green Curry flavors); and starts at rm$3.50 per skewer; "無骨香烤雞尾串 Boneless BBQ King Bishop skewer" was particularly an enjoyable skewer choice!
Parking is super limited here and challenging; however, Amari Spice hotel currently is offering free parking and less than 100m+ from the Food Court (at least for Hotel Guest) but I am sure the locals would know where they can squeeze in their car for 30 min to an hour of dining at the food court.
