Thoughts: The craft beer culture in Bangkok is no doubt much more exciting than that in KL. A quick google map search reveals at least 20 craft beer locations in the city of Bangkok. Today, I am visiting one nearest to Pietra Hotel (maybe 2km). So, its best to take the subway (its from BL17 Suttisan station and alight at BL19 Thai Cultural Center). It's best to take the Exit 4 which is closest to "The Street Ratchada" Mall.
Wish Beer Street Craft has been at the same location for 7 years; one of the highly recommended Craft beer spot in Bangkok (Google). The Pub is located at the food area of the mall (the Lower Ground called Floor B), and it sits in an open area next to also a Japanese restaurant where there is Live Music at night). Currently until end of February, the Pub is offering 25% discount of Beers of Tap from 5pm-8pm. It offer at least 12 craft beers on Tap, as well as local and imported bottled craft beers. On a Friday night at 8pm, there is a good crowd at the Pub.
美国德舒特鲜榨精酿啤酒 Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA is an American Indian IPA brewed by Deschutes Brewery, a craft brewery in Oregon, USA; founded 32 years ago in 1988 as a brew pub. It has an ABV of 6.5%, the 455ml glass cost 390Bht (rm$50 price is on the high side even when compare to KL), but a very Aromic and fruity beer, easy to drink and has an excellent after taste.
For me, the 比利时进口精酿白熊 Vedett Extra White (Wheat Beer) was a little disappointing one. But, its maybe after the much tastier and stronger Indian IPA. The Belgium brewed Vedett Extra White is at 4.7%ABV with very strong Lemony Coriandar flavor, not too sweet but slightly perfumed flavor which didn't go well on my palates. Nevertheless, The Belgium Wheat beer seems popular among females patrons in the pub.
Wish Beer does have several locations in Bangkok, the company not only offers Craft beer but also spirits, whiskey, wine and cider where you can get home delivery orders through their website (likely only within Thailand). The 3 locations at Wish Beer Thonglor, Wish Beer Home Bar, and Wish Beer Street at "The Street Ratchada".
