Thoughts: This humble little Pan Mee stall is hidden in one of the Lorong in Chow Kit, for more than 40+ years, 天涯客家面 Tian Yake Ban Mian has been selling Pan Mee since 1975! It is really not too difficult to find the stall, as long as you can find Lorong Haji Taib 5, which is a very short street, you can easily find the stall as it has a huge yellow banner "天涯客家面"!
The regular Pan Mee is rm$6, large is rm$7, 加蛋 adding an egg will be be an extra rm$1, 加料 more meat will be another rm$2.50. Parking is challenging, I saw most people just park on illegal road shoulder, DBKL officers were seen around 10am today issuing summonses to illegal parked vehicles. Not too pack at time of visit but was told lunch time will be quite packed. Only soup Pan Mee is available here, it will cook up a sweat but no worries as the stall (or maybe next stall) offers herbal drinks.
The bowl comes with thick soup, egg was well mixed in the soup when delivered, for rm$6, quite generous on the hand plucked pan mee as well as sliced mushrooms. I also liked the chili sauce on the side. Very nice!
