Thoughts: Unlike SS14, there aren't too many Bak Kut Teh shops in SS15. 参香肉骨茶 Shen Heong Bak Kut Teh Restaurant is one of the rare BKT shops here at SS15, the restaurant was opened less than a year on Sept 3, 2018. The restaurant not only offers Bak Kut Teh in soup or dry variant. The BKT soup offered here is served in black claypot with a soup of very different color compared to the norm (much like the color of a "莲藕汤 Lotus root soup"), not too thick and slightly verbally and the shop generously replenish the soup.
Also sampled the signature dish here which is "黑油脆皮爆烧肉 Black Oil crispy pork" where the pork is roasted in-house. The roasted pork was stir fried with black oil with chili, I'd say definitely an addictive dish best served with rice; interestingly rice is free (with unlimited refill) as long as you order one or more of the main dishes. Another dish worth sampling is the "广西豆腐卜 Guangxi Tauhu Pok"!
I'd rate the BKT here as moderate taste and bite with an interesting soup, although both the 黑油脆皮爆烧肉 Black Oil crispy pork and 广西豆腐卜 Guangxi Tauhu Pok are both commendable.
The restaurant is located in the middle of the very busy area of SS15 where parking is very challenging on weekdays but with slight ease on the weekends depending on hour you are there, do beware that double-parking is a norm here.
