Thoughts: 会员烤肉套 Member Set was at $59.90 on last visit March 19, 2019, more than 2 years ago! Now is plus rm$3 extra. The contents tonight were a little different from 2 years ago, but it doesn't really matter as prices of every thing went up at least 5-10% or more since then. The 四季肉拼盘 4-Season Platter at member price of rm$25.90 was definitely a worth while with pork belly meat in 4 variety taste: 柠檬草五花肉 Lemongrass, 大蒜五花肉 Garlic flavor, 当归五花肉 Chinese herbs and 意大利香草五花肉 Italian herbs flavor.
Interestingly, BarBQ plaza is founded in Thailand by a Mr. Choopong Choopojcharoen in 1987 (30+years ago)! Mr.Choopong applied the famous Japanese barbeque method is his first restaurant in Bangkok's Central Plaza Ladprao Shopping Mall. Since then, the brand has become a popular installations in new malls across Thailand. In 2005, BarBQ plaza worked with a local Malaysian F&B and operated its first branch in Malaysia at One Utama. Since then till to-date, BarBQ plaza has 18 operations sites across Peninsular Malaysia, mostly in the Klang Valley, also in Penang, Melaka, JB, and Genting!
The one in USJ21's Main Place, since its opening; has been always a popular destination for locals as well as tourist (Main Place residential has many holiday rental units for tourist). Usually, there is a queue here during peak dinner times around 7pm.
