Thoughts: Visited Sushi Mentai 5 times in 2017, only once time in 2018, and now the 7th time in January 2019.
Decided on the 盐烧秋刀鱼 Sanma Shioyaki from their Yakimono section, well grilled. Known as Sanma fish in Japan (さんま / サンマ / 秋刀魚) or Pacific Saury. In fact the name 秋刀魚 or "Autumn Katana Fish" is due to its small mouth, and elongated sword-like body! The fish never grow beyond 1 feet. The Sanma is one of the most prominent seasonal foods representing autumn in Japanese cuisine and is usally grilled with salt.
For dinner also having a dish from the Special Maki section, "鳗鱼乳酪券 Unagi Cheese Maki" which luckly not too much cheese, the slightly salty Raosted Unagi was placed on top of an Omelette roll (with egg, crab roll, and cucumber); generally ok!
Hoping to see something exciting this year in their "Special Menu" this year!
