Thoughts: 好地点茶餐室 (Restoran Hoe Dei Dim) changed name to 新星光茶餐室 (Restoran New Sin Kong) a week ago, change of boss to rent the coffee shop but hawkers seem all the same. FYI, before the name 好地点茶餐室, previoulsy it was called 星光茶餐室 (Sin Kong)! I really wonder if it was the previous boss who rented back this shop again, must be some story behind it.
But today, I feel like vegetarian and the vegetarian stall here. The 斋爪哇面 Vegetarian Jawa Mee I tried on 1st August was very nice. Previously also tried the very nicely cooked 素食米粉汤 Vegetarian Soup Noodle on 26th May.
But today, I am having 素椰浆饭 Vegetarian Nasi Lemak which the boss say only available every day and it is the special today! Two choices, vegetarian Asam Fish or vegetarian Curry Lamb cubes. I chose the curry lamb cubes, the plate also topped with typical nasi lemaks sides like cucumber, patato, long green beans, fried egg, anchovies, and vegetarian belacan.
I am not so particular about faked meat (vegetarian). Previously I would have a thing or two to say about Meat Eaters trying to be Vegans and have vegetarian meats, but I don't really care now. It's just an individual thing, it does not matter if it is faked meat or only vegetables for vegetarian; really, it does not matter what people say. Eat what you want as you like it, meat or no meat.
My vegetarian nasi lemak with the faked curry mutton cubes was definitely delicious, I enjoyed it. Looking forward to try the vegetatiam Asam Fish in the future!
