Thoughts: Few of Parks visited in Tokyo in December, all have really beautiful trees even in December, making it feels like one was still in Autumn. Ueno Park (上野公園) is really a very large public park accessible 24 hours but generally closed on Mondays! It is very easy to get there as it is in Central Tokyo and the park is next to Ueno Station.
The Park is also said to be beautifully adorned with over 1000 Cherry Blossom trees, but thats around Spring time in April! The is also a huge Lotus Pond, december wasn't the right season, too bad.
I think after a day in the park and around the neighbourhood of 台東区 Taito area, I have barely seen just a little bit of the area.
