The bird park is famed for its large and immersive walk-in aviaries such as Lory Loft, Jungle Jewels and the Waterfall Aviary. Other unique exhibits include Penguin Coast and Pelican Cove. Committed towards conservation, the bird park is the first in the world to breed the 馬來亞黑犀鳥 Malayan black hornbill (1995) and the twelve-wired bird of paradise (2001) in captivity for which it received the Breeders’ Award from the American Pheasant and Waterfowl Society. AND after 50 years of, in 2021, the group announced that the park's successor in Mandai would be named 鳥天堂 Bird Paradise. In 2022, it was announced that Jurong Bird Park would close on 3 January 2023 to finalise its move to Bird Paradise at Mandai.
The new Bird Paradise Singapore sits on 17 hectares of land and is the newest attraction and the upgraded bird park from moved from Jurong just opened in May 8. 2023 at Mandai Wildlife Reserve (next to the Singapore Zoo) at North of the Singapore Island near Woodlands. There are no direct MRT to the Bird Paradise, but visitors can alight at the "卡迪地鐵站 Khatib MRT Station" on the 南北線 North South line (NSL) in 義順規劃區 Yishun, Singapore.
