Thoughts: "錦芳茶室 Kum Fong" is said to have an almost 140 years of traditional Chinese pastries making; passed down to now the 5th generation and soon the 6th generation will be taking over the business. The shop is located in Pudu Ulu (the place I remember is called "Lap Sarp Chee", haven't been here for maybe more than 45 years and can't recognize the surroundings. Some of the pre-war (Colonial) shops are in pretty bad shape and many have been renovated. Located along Jalan Pudu Ulu, which is a busy road and parking may not be that easy!
The shop offers traditional Chinese pastries and the Kaya Puff and Salted egg Pastry sampled were both definitely "Old style but Taste great"! Besides a limited choice of old style pastries, the shop also makes and sells traditional moon cake.
