Thoughts: True to its name, synonymous to the famous "東京築地市場 Tokyo's Tsukuji market"; Tsukuji No.8 offers a variety of authentic Japanese cuisines. The restaurant gets its fresh source of supplies from a supply in the 豐洲市場 Toyusu market (the new name for 築地市場 Tsukuji market after its relocation), with new supplies of fresh seafood flew in 2-3 times a week from Japan.
Nested in the upper/first floor of one of the oldest building in KL "Wisma Lim Foo Yong"; 八號 Tsukiji No.8 is the brainchild of Mr Ng and four of his friends, all Japanese food lovers who decided to open their own restaurant ("The Star online").
For lunch, the restaurant offers 10 lunch set specials from rm$28 to rm$35. I ordered the Wednesday weekly special of "
For lunch, Tsukuji offers a variety of 12 items with prices ranging from rm$28 - rm$48. Of particular interest for me is a dish called "Bari-Chirashi" (Seafood & Rice) at rm$28. Another item maybe worth sampling is the more expensive Tsukuki's Signature Ocean's 8 at rm$98 whoch comes with a variety of Seafood and Sushi rice presented beautifully over a crab shell.
Omakase is available at rm$270. And on thursday Nov 28th next week; there will be special Omakase at rm$490 with Blue Fin Tuna cutting demonstration! Looking forward for an Omakase experience at Tsukuji No.8 in the near future.
