Thoughts: For lunch, its a little light today as I ordered the Potato Croquettes with mix of meat (beef), potato and vegetables accompanied with a bowl of salad with fried morsels. And for tea, its a pot of Golden Camomile with herbal infusion. Interestingly, "Croquettes" is French origin as early as the late 19th century; its small breadcrumbed fried roll infused inside with ingredients of mixed meat (veal, beef, chicken, fish, ham or turkey), mixed with cheese, potato, vegetables and brown sauce. The croquette (from the French croquer, "to crunch") is both as a delicacy and as a fast food; and are often served as a side dish in winter holidays!
Somewhere, within KL's Taman Melawati, a shop lot next to a couple of motor repair shops. Quite an unassuming location for a very "English theme" Cafe called "Tim's Teapot Terrance". Was told by the cashier that the cafe has been operating for more than 5 years to-date (from 2013 or 2014). The design of the shop lots in this area of Taman Melawati is "long and narrow", hence the interior is partitioned with cramped seating areas in each partition but nevertheless filled with homey decorations with lots of English tea pots everywhere!
Cakes and Bakes are the highlights of the Cafe, enjoyed the light afternoon lunch and Tim's Teapot Terrance is definitely worth another visit when opportunity arises. DBKL parking along the shop lots seems possible at 1pm today either along Jalan Bandar 4 or Lorong Perak.
