Thoughts: After a week of excessive beer and western food, coming back to more familiar local food in KL. In an early morning, with heavy rain and still in the dark around 6:30am, finding my way to SS2's Chow Yang for some breakfast. Chow Yang Kopitiam is really a "old" name with a new shop at SS2/10, I think its around since the early 80s or earlier. It is said that Chow Yang's owner who then owns several shop lots at SS2/10 (one of which is a corner lot), due to gambling and bad debts, it had to sell off its shops to the now famous "Nasi Kandar". Interestinly, the location of Chow Yang is at the same road but a different corner, maybe it is one of its remaining shop lots (if so, he still have 3 of them).
The 3 shop lot "new" Chow Yang Kopitiam now offers more than 2 dozen hawker foods to choose from. Definitely a lot of variety all day long, I am trying the Penang Har Mee, just great. I noticed that most if not all of the stalls are cooked and managed by locals. A lot to eat here and will be here again soon!
