Thoughts: Dáo is a specialty dessert cafe selling traditional soy based desserts with a twist. It is a cozy little shop with some interesting murals inside but unfortunately now it's closed for Dine-in during the MCO#2. The 25-year-old recipe hails from Ipoh and comes from Mr. Lau himself. Back in Bercham, Ipoh, the brand is known as 旺記祖傳豆腐花 Woong Kee Bean Curd and it has stalls as well as shops around the little town. SS15's Dáo Desserts is likely managed by the Lau family members.

The 2 main items offered by "Dáo Desserts" are their 豆腐花 Tao Fu Fah and 豆漿 Soy Milk or Dao Nai from rm$3.20 to rm$18. The syrup for Tao Fu Fah can be either 姜汁 Ginger, 黑糖 Brown, White, or 菊花 Chrysanthemum. Soy milk can be ordered as original or black, and 凉粉 Cincau with 仙草 grass jelly is also on the menu. The cheaper buy are their bundle options.

The shop was very popular before the MCO.

The bundled 2 豆腐花 Tao Fu Fah and 1豆漿 Soy Milk are rm$12. The tau fu fah was smooth and delicate in texture, went well with the 黑糖 Brown sugar, not too sweet. Ala Carte price for take-away per Tao Fu Fah is rm$4.50. While the Soy Milk is rm$5.30 per small bottle. (All in rm$14.30 where the bundle price is rm$12).
